Zejancici performance

After months of hard work and before the summer break, the Children’s language playgroup “Žejančići” held a performance entitled “TV råzglednica din Žejȃn” (TV postcard from Žejane).
On June 19, 2014, in the premises of the former school in Žejane, dressed in folk costumes, the children performed what they had learned to the delight of a large audience.
The concert consisted of three parts. During the first part, a news crew of the so called “Žejane TV” filmed an interview in which the children talked in the Zheyanski language about their costumes, the bell-ringers’ equipment and carnival traditions in Žejane.
The second part of the performance consisted of a presentation of the children’s work. Photographs taken during the past several months of playgroup’s activity showed the fun atmosphere that abounded among the “Žejančići”.
The excitement culminated in the third part of the performance during which the playgroup teacher, Adrijana Gabriš, presented “certificates” to the children who attended the playgroup and also gave special recognition to Apolonija Strčić who didn’t miss even one playgroup meeting.
Finally the “Žejančići” thanked dr.sc. Zvjezdana Vrzić, the head of the project Preservation of the Vlashki and Zheyanski Language, and Robert Doričić, the president of the Association “Žejane” by presenting them with the thank-you notes they decorated with drawings.
After the concert, the “Žejančići continued socialising with the parents and many friends and guests in front of the school at a reception organised for the occasion.
