Vut-a Lovranţi coståńu - Lovranians Had a Chestnut Tree

Lovranians had a chestnut tree above the sea. They went to cut this chesnut tree and tied the donkeys to the chesnut tree with ropes, so it doesn't fall into the sea. But the chesnut tree, when they cut it, fell into the sea and pulled the donkeys with it into the sea.

Then, those men that cut the chesnut tree threw axes after the donkeys into the sea, so they may cut the ropes and come out. But the donkeys didn't come out, they drowned. Then the men put the saddles on themselves and went home.

The wives see the men coming with the saddles, so the women say that the donkeys are coming and that there are no men. But the men were there and the donkeys were not, because it was the men who came with the saddles.
