Cum ăs folele? - What is a Bagpipe Like?

The bag is made out of the skin of a one-year-old lamb. The skin must come from a one-year-old lamb, because a sheep's skin is too big and cannot hold well... Then, there is the chanter (citore or mišnicele). The chanter is similar to a double flute (volarice). You blow into the blowpipe (kanelica)--which is made out the sheep's leg bone--to inflate the bagpipe. You use your fingers to play on the chanter. You play with five fingers, three on your right hand and two on your left hand. I learned how to play while grazing sheep. When I burn charcoal, I play, as the smoke goes up in the air.
